Stop. Start. Stop. Start. Stop… Oh, enough already! Isn’t it annoying when your pool cleaner constantly stops and starts, and doesn’t run smoothly?

Show it who’s boss!

The first thing to check is the suction flow coming through the hose from the cleaner. You need to have your pump on to check the suction level.

If the suction is poor or non-existent, you’ll need to adjust the flow control valve in the skimmer box to increase the suction to the cleaner.

Furthermore, there could be an air leak in your filtration system. Check all connection points and, if issues persist, call in the experts.

And, lastly, don’t forget regular maintenance. Make sure that debris is not stuck in the diaphragm, hose, or weir basket.
