Running only on the floor? Well, where else would you run? The same can’t be said, fortunately, for pool cleaners. They should also be running up the walls!
The common cause for this issue is that the suction of your pool cleaner is too low. Increase the setting and this should rectify the problem.
However, there are multiple other issues, so here’s the full trouble shooting guide, to make sure your pool cleaner is also cleaning the walls.
-
- Adjust the cleaner pattern, giving the cleaner a better approach to the wall.
- Check that your filtration system is in good order and that there are no leaks.
- Adjust the cleaner speed because it takes a great deal of traction and suction to climb a pool wall without falling off.
- Be sure there are no pressure leaks or suction leaks in the hose that connects to the cleaner, and also that the hose is not getting in the way.
- If you see bubbles coming out of your aimflow, or if the water level drops in your weir when you plug in your pool cleaner, you have a leak.
And then there are a few other issues, which though very obvious, need to be said.
-
- You have too shallow water in your pool.
- The hoses are too short.
- Some suction cleaners are not designed to climb walls.
