Walls. Walls. Walls. If your pool cleaner only has walls on its brain, and is disregarding cleaning the floor, it’s obviously got delusions of grandeur, so bring it down a notch.
The cause? The suction of your pool cleaner is too high.
The solution? Reduce the setting and this should rectify the problem. Your pool cleaner is equipped with a flow control valve which is affixed to your weir. In order to change the suction settings of your pool cleaner, adjust this valve and you can increase or decrease the suction of your cleaner.
Other potential solutions include:
-
- Adjusting the pressure regulator
- Replacing the tires or skirts of the cleaner, as they may be worn.
- Making sure that your pool cleaner is the proper size for your pool.
