Heavy metal. Not the music, but the type that you’ll find in pools everywhere, which, when is too highly concentrated can cause discolouration of the pool water. Your other cause may be algae breakout, and that one’s easy to solve.
Algae is caused by low free chlorine levels and it appears on pool walls, on pool floors, in the water, and sometimes on pool equipment, depending on which algae you are facing.
To fix this issue, shock your pool, and make sure the right amounts of chlorine are maintained.
However, if you do this, and you’re still faced with metal tinted water, you most likely have heavy and dissolved metal presence in your water.
Your best option, before the metals start staining the walls and floor of your pool, is to remove fresh metals through the filter. Get a metal removal product from your local Pool Xpert, add to your pool, and it’ll remove fresh metals in your pool water via your filter.
